Introduction to 3D Printing with MakerGear - November 15th, 2017 - 4:30p-7:30p
From STEM subjects, to art, to entrepreneurship, 3D printing is transforming teaching and learning in classrooms throughout America. During the Introduction to 3D Printing PD seminar, participants will gain a foundational understanding of the common tools and applications that educators can leverage in order to easily and cost-effectively bring concepts to life in the classroom. Upon completion of this seminar, participants will walk away with a basic understanding of available software and hardware, hands-on experience using a desktop 3D printer, as well as roadmap for aligning 3D printing activities with classroom, organizational, and community goals. Introduction to Robotics with Rockwell Automation - December 6th, 2017- 4:30p-7:30p

Advanced 3D Printing with MakerGear - January 10th, 2018 - 4:30p-7:30p
Desktop 3D printing technology has made considerable advancements since its inception, offering many opportunities to educators who wish to go beyond common classroom applications of 3D printing. Participants in the Advanced 3D printing PD seminar will gain an understanding of advanced, engineering-grade materials and software programs, as well as specialized educational projects and applications powered by 3D printing. Participants who complete this PD seminar will also receive exclusive discounts on MakerGear 3D printers and materials.
Intermediate Robotics with Rockwell Automation - March 7th, 2018-4:30p-7:30p
Take your EV3 skills to the next level. This course will take a deeper dive into the how-to’s of programming and how to leverage numerous robotics projects to support your learning standards. Pick up additional LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3’s software and hardware skills to use in the classroom for some seriously advanced and engaging activities. We are covering topics such as: conditionals, variables, motion, timers and math blocks. Learn how to make a clock with the EV3 and use Basic and Python programming languages to control your bots.
Cost is $20 per person, per workshop and registration includes free parking and light refreshments. A certificate for 3 hrs CPE credit will be given at the end of each workshop. Check in begins at 4:15 pm.
